Is is possible for a Shih Tzu to have very short hair?
I have a Shih Tzu who is 1 year old and when i got him as a puppy he had very short hair, and it never grew in. Now he is almost two and still has short hair. I see Shih Tzu's everywhere, and all of them have long hair, or if it is short, they cut it. Is is possible that my dog is not a shih tzu, or are their some shih tzu's who just have short hair?
no, your dog is not a purebred shih tzu

It could be your Shih Tzu is a cross and not a purebred.

Sorry, but you got swindled. Your dog may be part Shih Tzu, but is definitely not a purbred.

No shih-tzus have a naturally short coat. Your dog is either mixed or from a very poor quality breeder.

Shih Tzu's always have long hair unless its cut. That is very unusual. Are you sure is it purebred Shih Tzu?
