It is you that is the moron! The “leave it command” is necessary for a number of reasons. 1) If the dog picks up a dead animals, tries to lick other dog poo etc, 2) Some dogs may want to steal food of people’s plates, again this command comes in useful. 3) If a dog wants to attack or bark at another dog, you say leave it.
It is the owners who dont love their dogs that do not train them, untrained dogs in extreme cases may bite people etc which will cause them to be put down.
