What Is the Average Price for a Shih Tzu?

I am buying a pure breed Shih Tzu and I was wondering if $250 is a good deal… I heard it depends on where you live, I live in lower Michigan.
The reason she’s selling it so low is because I know her, she’s a great breeder and I’ve already seen and played with the dog, nothing’s wrong with it.

I paid $500 for mine but i’ve seen them between 400 -900.

    I would say $500 and up. Getting a dog below that is either because it’s an accidental litter or a bad litter [BYB].
