I have a 1 year old female shih tzu who is seadily gaining weight. I meaure her food and exercise her regularly. She currently eats Artemis Dry dog food fresh mix. However, I think she needs a low calorie food. Any suggestions? I want a quality food that will help her live a long healthy life!

Please get your little girl to a Vet and have her checked for thyroid problems! This breed is very susceptible to liver and renal dysfunction as well.
Also consider switching your puppy (slowly) to a grain-free, all natural diet… Such as the B.A.R.F. or semi-raw diet (Myth is that dogs are carnivores, truth is they are omnivores and their digestive system is unable to handle raw foods)
It will be thee best thing anyone can do since K9 was domesticated. I have never had an over weight dog because of it, not to mention the fact a need to ever have their teeth professionally cleaned.
